Topical solutions for all these veins flooding the world wide web and pharmacy shelves promising to revive your thighs young look while simultaneously removing the veins. The issue is, these topical treatments are not what they appear. While they'll reduce swelling, inflammation, and swelling, they do not have the components essential to go under the surface of the epidermis and also fix the problem at which the vein illness develops.

The most typical kind of observable vein is that the spider vein. It is not unusual for the majority of people to receive them , under most situations, it is because of heredity. The main reason why these veins get their title is they have a web-like look, with blue and purple lines on the thighs.

People who undergo varicose veins have bigger veins happening deeper in their entire body. They do not seem as tenderness, but instead as a bulge once they encounter extending. Under most situations, when you have varicose veins, you will also realize you have spider veins too. But in case you have spider veins, that does not necessarily mean that you're likely to encounter difficulties with varicose veins.

Visible Veins Could Grow Taller

It is typical for varicose and spider veins to produce your legs debilitating since the veins are becoming inflamed. If the veins are emerging, they are getting stretched out and dilating.

Topical treatments can't address spider veins in their origin since they are not able to permeate the skin considerably. As a result, the only means to take care of them is to completely eliminate the spider veins, and this is something topical remedies are not able to do. The fantastic news is that there are minimally-invasive remedies that are powerful available that achieve the origin of the veins to get rid of them.

Different types of Vein Removal Remedies

The two most frequent spider and varicose vein remedies available, which can be equally minimally-invasive, comprise the following:

Endovenous Laser Therapy (ELT): you might discover this is a powerful type of therapy for the removal of observable and painful varicose veins. In this process, varicose veins get laser energy straight till their boat walls are warmed and sealed shut. The physician creates a micro-incision to the strand permitting delivery of the laser energy via a thin fiber.

Since the incision is remarkably small, there's absolutely no need for sutures, and there's not any visible scar left behind then. Local anesthesia is utilized while the process is conducted at the physician's office. Thus, no downtime is necessary.

When spider veins are further under your skin's surface, the physician will use ultrasound imaging to locate it and create shots. Every time the physician injects a distinctive solution right into the vessel, then it seals the vein and collapses. Upon doing this, the blood tends to obviously reroute to fit veins near. No anesthesia is essential, and this therapy can be carried out in the physician's office.

Since it only requires a couple of minutes to finish, there is no recovery time required. 1 essential point to consider about getting injections, however, is that they might want to be touched up annually or every couple of decades. If you remain on top of your own injections, it is possible to maintain your spider veins and stop them from reappearing.
The less extensive types of microdermabrasion can be performed at home or spas. Microneedling is a newer alternative to microdermabrasion that is rapidly gaining popularity because of the many benefits.

Microdermabrasion

This is one of the most sought after non-surgical procedure according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. It employs a mechanical device that uses sodium bicarbonate crystals to treat the skin surface. The crystals are also used to scrub off dead and dull surface skin cells. The mechanical device also uses suction to stimulate circulation in the skin. The end result of this process is smoother skin.

As the procedure is non-invasive it means you will experience little to no discomfort during the procedure. There is no downtime after treatment.
What is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal in Issaquah, like that done at Vivaa, is a noninvasive treatment which uses pulses of laser light to target and removes the pigment in a hair follicle. The laser light heats the follicle to the point of destruction which inhibits the growth of hair. The follicle also shrinks, which inhibits the hair's ability to grow back. Eventually, the area where the laser targeted will have no hair due to lack of hair growth from that area.

How does laser hair removal work?
A beam of light is guided over the target area of the skin. The light energy is then absorbed by hairs where it turns to heat energy. Once the heat energy heats the hair, it damages the follicle which inhibits its ability to grow new hairs. This form of hair removal is highly effective on people with dark and fair skin and hairs.

How many sessions of laser hair removal will be needed?
The hair growth rate is different for everybody and for different parts of the body. The number of sessions needed will vary depending on these factors. Some people may need a single session while others may require several to fully get rid of hair.

Parts of the body to use laser hair removal
Both men and women can have this hair removal process done in most areas of the body. Areas such as the scalp, nipples, and genitals should be avoided. It is also recommended that men don’t use laser hair removal to get rid of facial hair as it is too dense.

Benefits of using laser hair removal
The process is fast, precise and very effective. It is also cost-effective and has no or minimal side effects.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12719317492228542180noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4448350286713819649.post-55590051576855048982018-07-30T11:02:00.001-07:002018-08-25T13:16:43.428-07:00Do Young People Get Arthritis? This post Do Young People Get Arthritis? appeared first on My VIVAA.

Anyone who has been on a hike or participated in a 10K run will tell you how painful and sore their joints and muscles are the next day. The day after strenuous exercise might start with a battle to get out of bed. It can hurt just to bend your arms and legs. Standing up can be accompanied by popping joints, creaks, groans, and moans.

This is an expected reaction to vigorous exercise especially if you don't put your body through such strenuous workout. This, however, is the norm for people who suffer from the medical condition called arthritis.

What is arthritis?
Arthritis is a joint disorder that is best showcased by inflammation. A joint is any part of the body where two different bones meet. Its function is to enable the movement of body parts that are connected by bones. In layman terms, this disorder can be best described as the inflammation of one or more joints. This inflammation is commonly accompanied by pain and stiffness.

It is a common disease among older adults that restricts their movement and causes them pain when they try to move. This disease is not restricted to adults only as the disease can also strike children. The most common form of arthritis that affects teenagers and children is juvenile idiopathic arthritis which is commonly referred to as JIA.

Medical professionals haven’t been able to pinpoint the exact cause of this condition but they feel that the following factors play a major role:

Genetics

Diseases and viruses are believed to trigger JIA

Fortunately, JIA isn't contagious, so you can't catch it from someone who has it.
There is no outright cure for JIA, but it can be controlled and treated with prescribed medications that fight pain and inflammation. Physical therapy is also helpful for children suffering from JIA. It is important for people suffering from arthritis to stay active by doing exercises and stretching. It is also recommended that people suffering from arthritis take warm baths which have been known to help soothe aching joints.
They are relatively safe procedures but any of the following side effects could result:

Pain
You will experience some pain during the procedure and after. Before the procedure, your dermatologist will give you topical anesthetics that will help minimize the pain. When they wear off, you will feel discomfort for some time. Your dermatologist may even prescribe pain pills.

Redness, swelling, and or itching
Most laser treatments will leave your skin red. The non-ablative lasers are less intensive but cause swelling and even itching in patients. It should be noted that the swelling and itching usually subside after a few days.

Sensitivity to the sun
Laser skin treatments will make your skin more sensitive to the sun. As part of post-op care, it is extremely important that you avoid being exposed to the sun for long periods. It is also important to make use of proper sunscreen protection.

Changes in skin pigmentation
While not everyone's skin is suitable for laser treatment, people with lighter skin tones have a risk of hypo-pigmentation (lightening of the skin) or hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin).

Infection
Infection is not a very common side effect, but it can happen, especially with some of the more invasive cosmetic laser procedures. Most doctors will prescribe antibiotic creams and pills to take post-op to prevent any kind of infection from occurring.

Scarring
Some laser skin treatments may scar your skin. This, however, depends on your skin type. If you are prone to scarring or getting keloids, discuss this with your doctor before treatment.

Recurrence of the skin issue
It usually takes more than one laser skin treatment to get your desired results. However, even after multiple treatments, some skin conditions may reappear. This is more common with cosmetic lasers that treat vascular lesions and remove hair.
It occurs when a skin pigment known as melanin is produced in excess. When your skin is exposed to the sun it may lead to sun damage.

Excess melanin can cause age spots, dark spots and liver spots on some parts of the body like face and hands.

These are just dark spots on your skin which may be skin discoloration. Our Hyperpigmentation Treatments are helpful when you want to get rid of this issues.

Sun Exposure

Acne Vulgaris

Allergic Reactions

It should be noted that people with dark skin are more prone to hyperpigmentation. This is because there is an overproduction of melanin in their bodies.

Rosacea is a skin condition that is characterized by flushing and blushing. This is because the veins of people suffering from this condition appear in sun-exposed areas of the body. They may appear on the face, neck or chest. This condition affects both men and women. The condition is prevalent in light-skinned individuals in their twenty’s and thirties. Genetics also plays a role in whether this condition will manifest earlier or later than the average age. This condition is often accompanied by acne, general redness and dilated capillaries and may be treated with IPL Photofacial treatments.

The sun greatly affects people suffering from the condition. It causes extra facial veins to expose themselves which results in flushing. These extra veins, which don’t serve any function, fill up with blood more rapidly than other veins. This filling up may be caused by stimulants such as coffee, alcohol and spicy food. Exercise and sun exposure are some external triggers that can be impossible to avoid.
The technique employs the use of lasers to direct short and concentrated pulsating beams of light at irregular skin. This gets rid of the skin layer by layer.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Laser Resurfacing?

For some patients, the laser skin resurfacing procedure does an excellent job of diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, scars and irregular skin pigmentation. However, patients with certain skin types, skin tones and medical conditions may suffer an increased risk of developing unpleasant side effects. Consult a dermatologist to discover if you are a good candidate for the treatment.

Skin resurfacing procedures use lasers to reduce the signs of aging and improve skin texture, laxity and tone. Lasers are also used to treat a variety of other cosmetic concerns. Skin resurfacing is done by two methods; ablative and non-ablative lasers.

Side effects of non-ablative laser rejuvenation

Non-ablative laser resurfacing causes side effects such as:

Infection – non-ablative laser resurfacing can cause a flare-up of the herpes virus.

Changes in skin color – If you have tanned or darker skin, non-ablative laser resurfacing can cause your skin to become temporarily darker (hyperpigmentation).

Mild swelling and redness – swelling and redness typically last only hours or days.

Blistering and scarring – although uncommon, non-ablative laser resurfacing has been proven to cause blistering and scarring.

Is non-ablative laser rejuvenation for everyone?

Simply put, no. A few people cannot undergo the treatment. They may include:

People who have active acne

People who have an autoimmune disease or a weak immune system

People who scar easily

People with unrealistic expectations

Botox is the name given to the toxin that is produced by the bacterium clostridium botulinum. This toxin is considered poisonous when used in large amounts. The medical community, however, found a way to put it to good use despite its poisonous nature. They harnessed its paralytic characteristics. The toxin is injected in small and diluted amounts into specific muscles causing controlled weakness.

The FDA approved the use of Botox after it was discovered that the toxin could stop ailments like strabismus and cervical dystonia. Later on, the medical community started using Botox to successfully treat wrinkles and facial creases before it got the FDA’s approval for treating frown lines between the eyebrows.

How does Botox work?

The toxin blocks signals from traversing between the nerves and muscles. Once it is injected into a muscle, it can no longer contract which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. This procedure is most often used on forehead lines and frown lines. It is important to note that wrinkles that were caused by sun damage will not respond to Botox treatment.

How is the Botox procedure performed?

The procedure only takes thirty to forty five minutes and no anaesthesia is required. The injection targets specific muscles and you’ll only endure minor discomfort. It takes two to six days before one can see the full effect of the procedure. Most medical practitioners will advise you to avoid alcohol for at least a week before the treatment.

The effects from Botox will last for six months maximum. This means that you will have to go for another procedure once muscle action returns to the area.

Are there side effects of Botox?

There are a few minor side effects to Botox. They include:

Temporary bruising

Headaches (very rare).

Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use Botox. People who suffer from neurological diseases should also avoid Botox. It is important to consult a medical practitioner before undertaking the procedure.

Botox is famously known to help smooth out wrinkles. It is an FDA approved drug that is considered safe if used in small amounts. Botox is derived from botulinum toxin which is considered to be one of the most deadly toxins known to man. This toxin continuously surprises the medical community for its seemingly endless applications.

The drug is used to treat a host of medical and cosmetic conditions but the drug is not without risks and side effects. Before using Botox, ensure you seek guidance from a licensed and professionally trained medical practitioner. Below we look at some of the uses of this wonder drug.

The uses of Botox

Chronic migraines – in 2010 the FDA approved the use of Botox to treat chronic migraines. This was after a surgeon in Beverly Hills observed that patients who received Botox injections seldom complained of migraines. The drug was accepted by a few in the medical community though some doctors still question whether the drug works or if it is a placebo effect.

Manage acne – Botox injections limit the oil production in the skin which effectively stops acne breakouts.

Excessive underarm sweating – Botox has been used to limit the sweat glands from being too active which reduces sweating.

Overactive bladder – Botox has been used to curb overactive bladders which makes patients have fewer trips to the toilet.

Tighten jowls – Botox has been used to correct the jaw lines of patients who suffer from jaw related deformities.

Severe neck spasms – in 2002, the FDA approved the use of Botox in treating a condition known as cervical dystonia which causes the victim to suffer unbearable neck pains

Crossed eyes – since the 1970’s, Botox has been used to correct Strabismus which affects the position of the eyes.

Get a temporary face-lift – Botox has been used by medical practitioners to give people temporary facelifts. It makes it easier to shape facial features and relax wrinkles around the face.

Get rid of wrinkles around décolleté

Make blowouts last – getting Botox injections around the forehead makes blowouts last as the scalp doesn't sweat.

Mimic a nose job – Botox injections make it easier to shape the tip of the nose.

From all these uses we can see why the medical community is in awe over this wonder drug.

Exercise has turned out to be a preferred part of everyday living for many people. For others, they do not have any idea how to incorporate fitness into their lives. Whatever your case may be, these tips will certainly provide you information about working out and getting in shape.

You don’t have to become an athlete overnight to make exercise a part of your lifestyle. It’s actually better if you commit to making small changes in your daily routine instead of reinventing yourself overnight, because you are more likely to stick with it. Small changes in habits can lead to lasting, permanent change.

Tips for your exercise routine

Commit to regular activity: Schedule exercise like any other appointment on your calendar and treat it as a commitment rather than something you squeeze in if you have time. Even if you can only allot 15 minutes at a time, schedule it.

Find your favorite exercise: Out of all the forms of exercise out there, find one you just love. Get really specific. A good way to identify what type of exercise is right for you is to first figure out if you like to exercise alone, with a partner or in a group setting.

Add strength training to your weekly routine: Exercise isn’t just cardio alone. Strength training is critically important to retain muscle as you age, have a strong body and an effective metabolism.

Remind yourself daily of your why: It’s easy to get off track if you aren’t reminding yourself of why working out and eating healthy is important to you.

Mammography is a technique of taking soft tissue X-rays in which two films of each breast are taken after adequate compression under an acrylic sheet. This quick medical exam produces pictures that your doctor can use to identify and treat any abnormal areas, possibly indicating the presence of cancer.

Annual mammograms can detect cancer early (when it is most treatable). In fact, mammograms show changes in the breast up to two years before a patient or physician can feel them. Mammograms can also prevent the need for extensive treatment for advanced cancers and improve chances of breast conservation.

Mammography should be done in the below cases:

If you have pain, discharge or a lump in the breast.

If a lump is felt during self or routine examination.

If you have a family history of breast cancer.

If you are undergoing hormone replacement therapy as per consultation with your doctor.

Below are some important points one should keep in mind before going for mammography:

Mammography should preferably be done after the month’s menstrual cycle.

Avoid the week before your menstrual period.

When you go for a mammography test, make sure to take with you copies of any previous reports you may have, so that the doctor may compare the reports.

Go dressed correctly for the rest. Wear a two piece outfit, so that you will need to remove only your top.

Don’t use a lotion, deodorant or powder around the breasts or armpit, as this may show up in X-rays.
